Jewelry

Sat Jan 31, 2009, 11:24 AM
As I was making some jewelry yesterday (which is something I often do), I got the idea to take pictures of the jewelry I make, especially those things I've made for other people, so that I can have a portfolio of sorts. I thought I might print the photos and tack them up onto a cork board or something so I can see them all (again, especially the ones I don't have anymore).

Then I thought to myself, ya know, deviantArt has an artisan crafts section. Perhaps that includes jewelry. So after I took some pictures, I checked it out, and hey! There's totally a jewelry section.

So I've got some pictures of some of the things I've recently made as well as some older stuff, and I figure I might as well upload them as deviations. I consider them to be art, and apparently so does this site. I truly love deviantArt.

hey, i saw your comment on the photos of "childhood fears" on another site. You were one of the only comments that I think really hit it on the mark!!! I felt horrible for those kids to have to be exposed to that. If it's "art" that you wouldn't show your children as a final product, then it's inappropriate to have them be involved in. Thanks for speaking out some common sense. :)

Thank you for that. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only person who felt that way. I think it's really cool that you sought me out to let me know - I really appreciate it. :)
